दक्षिण अफ्रीका में चल रहे अंडर 19 महिला विश्व कप के फाइनल में भारत ने इंग्लैंड को 7 विकेट से हराकर इतिहास रच दिया। इसी के साथ भारतीय टीम पहले अंडर 19 विश्व कप की चैंपियन टीम भी बनी। शैफाली वर्मा के नेतृत्व में भारतीय टीम ने पूरे टूर्नामेंट बेहद ही शानदार प्रदर्शन किया और अंत में विश्व चैम्पियन बनकर ही दम लिया। यह महिला क्रिकेट में भारतीय टीम की पहली आईसीसी ट्रॉफी है।
